The Latter Rain Promised 1

THE LATTER RAIN IS HEAR ! Is IT FALLING ON YOU

The book of all books the Bible points us to period in time when the latter rain will begin to fall,it says in Joel 2:28-29
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

When would these events be fulfilled, would you recognize the fulfillment of these events, more importantly will you be among the individuals receiving the showers of the Holy Spirit without measure here promised?

Ellen White says:
“To PREPARE a people to STAND in the day of God, a great work of REFORM was to be accomplished. In His mercy He was about to send a message to AROUSE His PROFESSED PEOPLE and lead them to make ready for the coming of the Lord. – {HF 193.3}
This warning is brought to view in Revelation 14. Here is a threefold message represented as proclaimed by heavenly beings and immediately followed by the coming of the Son of man to reap “the harvest of the earth.” The prophet saw an angel flying “in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:6, 7. – {HF 193.4}
This message is a part of “the everlasting gospel.” The work of preaching has been entrusted to men. Holy angels direct, but the actual proclamation of the gospel is performed by the servants of Christ on earth. FAITHFUL MEN, OBEDIENT to the promptings of GOD'S SPIRIT and the teachings of His Word, were to proclaim this warning. They had been seeking the knowledge of God, counting it “better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.” “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.” Proverbs 3:14; Psalm 25:14. – {HF 194.1}RH February 22, 1887 Par. 10



THE MEANING OF THE PHRASE “TO STAND”
In the above quotation Ellen white show in no uncertain terms God will prepare a people  to stand firm during the Sunday law crisis and during the time of the troubles to come.

To STAND according to Webster’s dictionary means "To persist in opposition or resistance; not to yield or comply; not to give way or recede".

Does not the phrase "TO STAND " sounds pretty much like to be SEALED IN THE FOREHEAD?

The Professed people are those claiming to be the remnant church, but even among them God in His mercy sends a message of reformation SHE SAYS. If reformation was not necessary among the professed people, our loving God would have no need to send a message to "AROUSE HIS PROFESSED PEOPLE". God does not use an unreformed people to bring the last great reform message in Revelation 14
Now dear reader this statement above is both revelatory and damning in nature if you have the eyes to see it and depending on where you stand.






Ezekiel37 IS A REPRESENTION OF THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL
 A vision is given Ezekiel 37:2 represents the bones as very dry, in verse3 God ask if the bones can live. These two facts tell us clearly that these bones are dead and dead a long time.
Without going through the whole narration we jumped to the verses with the good news; verse ten shows the bones revived making up the body of living beings due to the wind representing the life giving nature of the Holy Spirit, but flesh and tissue was given them before by a word. "Prophesy" was the word given twice which simply means to give a message. Finally verse 11 says this valley of dead dry bones that was raised to life was "an exceeding great army" and this army was "THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL."

A people only need arousing when they are spiritually SLEEPING AS IN Ezekiel37 hence the Prophet for our time Ellen G White use the word "AROUSE" ,why? because as a  people SPIRITUAL ISRAEL ARE spiritually unconscious about something's That is taking place at this very hour, In fact the bones are represented as dead. This is a vision so this death is not a literal condition but a spiritual one .Ezekiel 37 tells our story in every particular.

THE SPIRITUALLY BLIND, THE WORLDLY AMONG GOD’S PEOPLE WILL NIETHER SEE NOR RECEIVE THE LATTER RAIN WHEN IT ARRIVES.
Now my brother or my sister what’s taking place at this time? What are you missing out on?
What is transpiring at this time if we study line upon line and if we look into prophecy?
Our Merciful God has send the message to "prepare the people to stand" to stand upon their feet.
In Ezekiel 37 God is raising up the army putting bone to bone and flesh upon bones ,He is buildings the army right before your eyes, but if you are dead spiritually you would not see it .
For the Bible testifies in 1Co_2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Spirit of Prophecy sums it up this way in Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers:
 “It is God who began the work, and He will finish His work, making man complete in Jesus Christ. But there must be no neglect of the grace represented by the former rain. Only those who are living up to the light they have will receive greater light. Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain. It may be falling on hearts all around us, but we shall not discern or receive it. {TM 507.1}

Joel 2:28 .If you are not experiencing even in its basic sense a revival and reformation you won't see the army rising, you won't be one of those receiving the rousing command in Ezekiel 37:4-8
"O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord."

LAODICEA REQUIRES A SHAKING FROM ITS LUKEWARMNESS.
So what message or messages "prepare a people to stand " according to Sister white ?

What according to Holy writ cause the breath come into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army"?
What message(s) will have such power? Can mortal man be the creator of such a message? Do we as human beings have the power to engineer such a message that will rouse the spiritually dead? No, we have no such power, this message must come only directly from Gods word, the Holy Spirit alone can drive and bring to view this message. This message is not the message of revelation 14 that empower this army NO ,NO, NO .
Revelation  14 is the last warning message to the world no doubt, the professed people of God  know revelation 14, WHAT MESSAGE WAKES LAODICEA. Whatever it is this message to the dead dry bones of the professed people God must break through the five barriers of being "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:  thus this message must cause a revival.

FIRST LETS DEFINE WHAT IS REVIVAL AND REFORMATION?
Do you know what a revival is and what is reformation? These are not one and the same. Let us define these properly before we get mixed up in our minds what these really mean.

The testimony of Jesus says:   "A revival and a reformation must take place under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from the spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend."—The Review and Herald, February 25, 1902. – {ChS 42.2}

THUS FAR WE HAVE DISCOVERED FROM BIBLE AND SPIRIT OF PROPHECY THAT.
• The latter rain is promised.  “We have a more sure word of prophecy “  2Peter 1:19.
• A people would be prepared to stand. Immovable and sealed.
• That preparation is initiated by revival and a reformation via the agency of the Holy Spirit.
• Ezekiel 37 dry bones illustrate the revival and reformation in symbols.
• An army would rise up united in “understanding of the times and what Israel ought to do” 1Chronicles 12:32.
• These will receive the Laodicean message favorably and wakeup Rev3:14-22.Isa52:1
• Those who escape Laodicea will experience true revival and reformation. A resurrection from the spiritual death. They will experience a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices.

THE LIFE GIVING MESSAGE COMES FROM PROPHECY.
The following scripture shows it is Prophecy that initiates the revival of the Holy Spirit and .scripture says : Eze 37:4  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
verse:5  Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
verse:6  And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
verse:7  So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.



WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO PROPHESY ACCORDING TO EZEKIEL 37 ?
Webster’s 1888 Dictionary says : PROPHESY, v.i. To utter predictions; to make declaration of events to come. Jeremiah 11:21.
1. In Scripture, to preach; to instruct in religious doctrines; to interpret or explain Scripture or religious subjects; to exhort.
2. EXHORT, v.i. To deliver exhortation; to use words or arguments to incite to good deeds.
Lets look at Rev 10 :1-11 for a moment. Now this was Millerite history here portrayed, now Ellen White gives a lovely explanation of the History and people involved in this history, I am not going to quote the whole commentary but I will quote the relevant parts to the point am going to make. She says :
THE REPEAT OF HISTORY
After these seven thunders uttered their voices, the injunction comes to John as to Daniel in regard to the little book: "Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered." These relate to future events which will be disclosed in their order. Daniel shall stand in his lot at the end of the days. John sees the little book unsealed. Then Daniel's prophecies have their proper place in the first, second, and third angels' messages to be given to the world…
    The special light given to John which was expressed in the seven thunders was a delineation of events which would transpire under the first and second angels' messages. It was not best for the people to know these things, for their faith must necessarily be tested. In the order of God most wonderful and advanced truths would be proclaimed. The first and second angels' messages were to be proclaimed, but no further light was to be revealed before these messages had done their specific work. This is represented by the angel standing with one foot on the sea, proclaiming with a most solemn oath that time should be no longer.  {7BC 971.6}
Rev 10:10  And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Continuing :
“The angel's position, with one foot on the sea, the other on the land, signifies the wide extent of the proclamation of the message. It will cross the broad waters and be proclaimed in other countries, even to all the world. The comprehension of truth, the glad reception of the message, is represented in the eating of the little book. The truth in regard to the time of the advent of our Lord was a precious message to our souls (MS 59, 1900).  {7BC 971.8}




This was the Millerite history of proclaiming the hour of His Judgment is come from 1840-44. They ate the Little Book receiving both the sweet “marvelous manifestation of the power of God  “and bitter experience of the disappointment of Oct22 1844,But the Chapter ends off with verse 11 which says now note the word that precedes the word “AGAIN”.The word is Prophesy

Rev 10:11  And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

Simply put what happen in 1840-44 the giving of a message must happen again, this history must repeat. Gods people must have that experience one more time, not a disappointment but a revival as in that time. In addition they must give the MESSAGE AGAIN. Now look at Deuteronomy32:2 lets put all this together.  

Deu 32:2  My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

All of this points clearly that the latter rain comes in the form of a message that causes revival and reformation among Gods professed people. The Millerite history is also known as the history of the virgins as represented in Mathew 25 that is five wise and five foolish,we will probably touch that in another article but I want to highlight that this history will repeat to the letter.

“I am often referred to the parable of the ten virgins, five of whom were wise, and five foolish. This parable has been and will be fulfilled to the very letter, for it has a special application to this time, and, like the third angel's message, has been fulfilled and will continue to be present truth till the close of time. {RH, August 19, 1890 par. 4}

In other words this history is due to repeat in every particular and we will deal with that another time.  But the History repeating proves the fact that “thou must prophecy again” according to Rev10:11
Now if this history must repeat lets find out what brought about the great 2nd advent revival and reformation. It was a message from Daniel 8:14.
Thus it is reasonable to conclude that a message from Daniel will bring about a revival and reformation, bones will join to bone in preparation for the breath to come in. Is this a fact ?
Ellen white sums it up better than I could she says as we have read before :
“These relate to future events which will be disclosed in their order. Daniel shall stand in his lot at the end of the days. {7BC 971.6}
There is a message in Daniel that brings the latter rain, a message which all the end time messages are hinge on. These are the verses in Daniel 11:40-45 this message puts life into the dead bones of God’s people.
Will you discern it , would you receive the message ? That’s the question!
“Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain. It may be falling on hearts all around us, but we shall not discern or receive it. {TM 507.1}

THE BIBLE PROVES THE LATTER RAIN IS CONNECTED TO REFORM INITIATED BY A MESSAGE.
Bible says:
Act 3:19  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Repentance means Godly sorrow for and a turning away from sin the state and sins the habits. This is reformation.Now it says accompanying this repentance and reformation  is the refreshing.

WHAT IS THE REFRESHING?
“The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of God than marked its opening. The prophecies which were fulfilled in the outpouring of the former rain at the opening of the gospel, are again to be fulfilled in the latter rain at its close. Here are “the times of refreshing” to which the apostle Peter looked forward when he said, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out [in the investigative Judgment], when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and he shall send Jesus.” [Acts 3:19, 20.]  {GC88 611.1}

Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Messages brings Knowledge, understanding of doctrine is the result of receiving messages, stammering lips, tongues that will speak to this people  represent those who,will,give the message not being so much learnt men but more so simple men who learn at the feet of Jesus .These are all connected to giving a message, conversion comes about because of a message all these words and phrases are here connected to scripture and Spirit of Prophecy quotations surrounding the  REFRESHING WHICH IS THE latter rain .

Thus NO REFORM MESSAGE, NO LATTER RAIN,NO LATTER RAIN WILL COME WHEN THERE IS NO REFORM MESSAGE .The two must go together.
You will notice in Bible once Israel was in a state of collective sin when they strayed from the Lord He did something with the rain.

Notice:
Deu 11:16  Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; Deu_11:17  And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
1Ki_8:35  When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
When Israel turned from God He withheld the rain, showers were equivalent to spiritual and literal blessings Ezekiel 34:25,26 says so clearly.
1Ki_17:7  And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
Why? Ahab the king was under the influence of an Adulterous harlot queen Jezebel ;now note a woman in bible prophecy as you would know represents a church. When the harlot of Rev 13 has its influence upon God’s professed people in any form as Ahab was influenced we can expect no rain unless there is first a revival (awakening from spiritual death) and a reformation (changing of theories, ideas, actions) repentance must precede the refreshing, so says Acts 3:19.

2Ch6:26  When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;
2Ch 6:27  Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

2Ch_7:13  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
2Ch 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now lest we think in general terms “ My People”   could mean any denomination on the planet let me inform you that the Ten Commandments is a representation of Gods Character , Gods character is summed up in his name. So the people that claim to keep all of Gods commandment are His denominated people. They are the one “called by my name”. Thus it is logical to believe that this is the professed people of God spiritual Israel,the Seventh Day Adventist church.

DID SPIRITUAL ISREAL STRAY FROM THE PATH?
Answering that question is quite easy.
The scripture above says : 2Ch 6:27  Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
Now you may say that that was old Israel, certainly that is not our beloved church. Ellen White says the prophets of Old spoke more for our day.
The testimony of Jesus the Spirit of Prophecy sasy : “Paul writes concerning the experiences of the people of God in ancient times, "All these things happened unto them for ensamples; and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."
 "The prophets spoke less for their own time than for the ages which have followed, and for our own day”   {Sings of the Times , April 2, 1896 par. 12}
Thus 2Ch 6:27 above was for us when it says : “when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
Have we stepped out of the WAY, have we removed ourselves from the Way Wherein we SHOULD WALK?

Jer 6:16  Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.   Now Jer 6 is a real eye opener, read all of it if you could. But to keep the focus I will pass by it with reluctance at this time.
In Ellen White’s first vision in the book Early Writings the Lord directed her attention to a people on a path from her time till the end of this earth  she  says :
“While I was praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell upon me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them, when a voice said to me, "Look again, and look a little higher." At this I raised my eyes, and saw a straight and narrow path, cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the city, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the beginning of the path, which an angel told me was the midnight cry. This light shone all along the path and gave light for their feet so that they might not stumble. If they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the city, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and said the city was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising His glorious right arm, and from His arm came a light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, "Alleluia!" Others rashly denied the light behind them and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out, leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and lost sight of the mark and of Jesus, and fell off the path down into the dark and wicked world below. Soon we [SEE APPENDIX.] heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God, as Moses' did when he came down from Mount Sinai.”  {EW 14.1}

Now noticed those who kept their eyes on Jesus (not cliché keep your eyes on Jesus as we know it in the church today) but those who followed the lamb where so ever he goeth  (Rev14) notice they are the ones that stays on the path .These are those who trusted the light behind them. Now Light is truth and The prophet of the lord says the Light was what ? “the light set up behind them at the beginning of the path… was the midnight cry”. The light, the truth, the messages of the history of the beginning of Adventism that is  1840-44 will keep us on the path. But notice the light was all along the path even in front of them as they walk. The light was ADVANCING light. Those who distrust the Old paths of Adventism will fall off the path. Two more scripture there are more we can pull to bolster this point, but for time we will look at one more on the subject of the old path
Bible says : Pro 4:18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Pro 4:19  The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Isa 58:12  And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Notice the light is advancing on those who are the just, those who by faith hold on to the old paths of Adventism the light is shines on  MORE AND MORE, this is advancing light. The WAY of the WICKED is DARKNESS they don’t see and so the stumble and as sister White says the fall of the path of the Just.
Now why did we go into all this? Let’s bring all into focus.

• The latter rain comes in connection with a message of Revival and Reformation as appropriately defined by Bible and Spirit of Prophecy above.
• Not all will receive the latter rain; some will neither discern nor receive it when it comes.
• We prove that the Rest,Rain ,Refreshing, latter rain are all the terms used for describing the outpouring of the Holy spirit.
• 2Ch 6:27 shows those who receive rain are those who walk in the “good way”  wherein they “should walk” .
• The prophet to the Remnant church Ellen White saw the path that we should remain on.
• She saw the light, the truth,the messages of 1840-44 shining on the path we should walk on.
• She saw this path with the light behind us and before us all along the path to glory.
• Jer6:16 tells us the OLD PATHS is the good way that we should walk where we shall find rest, now note rest and refreshing is at the end of this path.
• Ellen White's first vision ends with the outpouring of the Holy Gost  on those who remain on the path.
• Prov 4:19 show this path has advancing light just as Ellen White saw.
• Isa58:12 tells us that the old waste places need rebuilding that there were holes(breach) to be repaired. The old Waste places are the old paths. Some would partake in the rebuilding others would doubt and refrain from coming up to the help of the Lord. These are those that did not receive nor discern the beginning ,the sprinkling of the latter rain.


MISTUNDERSTANDING OF THE LATTER RAIN FALSLY PLACES YOU UNDER AN UMBRELLA OF SAFETY.
When we misunderstand, when we do not search diligently the word of God as for hidden treasures, when we do not live up to the active Christian virtues, when we as a people eyes are clouded by worldliness we are in no position to se nor discern the later rain in the form of the message. Christ came and those who did not receive the message of John the Elijah of that time could not benefit from the message of Christ the one whom the messages was based on.
Thus individuals who did not accept Christ as the Messiah that is the blind Sanhedrin, the Priest and most of the Jews could not benefit from the pentecostal message and spiritual showers of the spirit of the disciples.
Thus they crucify the Savior, killed the disciples and were unprepared for the closing up of the seventy weeks that were determine upon Jews according to Daniel 9 .
As a result of rejecting the three stage message of John, Christ and disciples probation close on Jewish Nation, the chosen generation, the royal priesthood, the holy nation, the peculiar people when they stoned Stephen and they didn’t even know it.
The latter rain message of Daniel 11:40-45 that tells us beyond the shadow of a gain saying doubt that the end is near, the way-marks that shows us conclusively that we are in the final generation. This same message is that which brings the bones together and put flesh and tissue creating a body waiting to receive the BREATH OF THE CREATOR in the latter rain. This message leads one to repentance that drives a Loadicean to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to say like Isaiah “ I am undone, I am a man of unclean lips that dwell among a people of unclean lips”
This is the life giving message that makes us see all our church attendance as for real,all our spiritual wars in our personal life has come to a place where they will end.
This message in Daniel 11:40-45 tells us this is for real. It is this message that wakes the Dead Dry Bones. It is this message that’s make you and I want to experience righteousness by faith because we will or you already know that we cannot live righteously unless by a minute by minute un-severed relationship with the savior. Righteousness by faith is the Third angels message by experience brought about by the third angles delineation of history; that is in no doubt the history in Daniel 11:40-45. Daniel 11:40-45 is the Third Angels message, in it contains the History and the Experience of the third angel.


Many wait on the latter rain to perfect their defective characters but this is a colossal mistake.
I also saw that many do not realize what they must be in order to live in the sight of the Lord without a high priest in the sanctuary, through the time of trouble. Those who receive the seal of the living God, and are protected in the time of trouble, must reflect the image of Jesus fully.
    I saw that many were neglecting the preparation so needful, and were looking to the time of "refreshing" and the "latter rain" to fit them to stand in the day of the Lord, and to live in His sight. Oh, how many I saw in the time of trouble without a shelter! They had neglected the needful preparation, therefore they could not receive the refreshing that all must have to fit them to live in the sight of a holy God. {CET 112.3}

THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST WILL BE UNDERSTOOD,IT WILL BRING ABOUT A REFORMATION
The books of Daniel and the Revelation are one. One is a prophecy, the other a revelation; one a book sealed,the other a book opened. {7BC 971.5}
“When the books of Daniel and Revelation are better understood, believers will have an entirely different religious experience. They will be given such glimpses of the open gates of heaven that heart and mind will be impressed with the character that all must develop in order to realize the blessedness which is to be the reward of the pure in heart. The Lord will bless all who will seek humbly and meekly to understand that which is revealed in the Revelation. This book contains so much that is large with immortality and full of glory that all who read and search it earnestly receive the blessing to those "that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein." One thing will certainly be understood from the study of Revelation--that the connection between God and His people is close and decided.  {FLB 345.3}
