Who is the Remnant and what brings about the formation of the remnant in the SDA church

Isaiah 10:20-22 KJV Remnant Escape From the house of Jacob ( 12 Tribes of Israel/ the church)
[20] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of
the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the
Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. [21] The remnant shall return, even the remnant of
Jacob, unto the mighty God. [22] For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet
a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

Isaiah 1:8-9 KJV Remnant is Small
[8] And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of
cucumbers, as a besieged city. [9] Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small
remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Revelation 12:17 KJV Remnant Comes after the war
[17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her
seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Amos 9:8-12 KJV Remnant remains , shaft blown away
[8] Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off
the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord. [9]
For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is
sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. [10] All the sinners of my
people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. [11] In that
day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof;
and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: [12] That they may possess
the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that
doeth this.

Ezra 9:8-9 KJV Remnant renew the house of God. Remnant Repairs the Desolation and rebuilds the walls or the breach.
[8] And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the Lord our God, to leave us a
remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our
eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. [9] For we were bondmen; yet our God hath
not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of
Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations
thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 1:21-28 KJV The Renewed house a Righteous city ,a faithful city, transgressors destroyed and they that forsake the lord consumed,
[21] How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it;
but now murderers. [22] Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: [23] Thy
princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after
rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
[24] Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of
mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: [25] And I will turn my hand upon thee,
and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: [26] And I will restore thy judges
as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city
of righteousness, the faithful city. [27] Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her
converts with righteousness. [28] And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners
shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

Romans 11:1-5 KJV  Those that DO NOT bow are the remnant.
[1] I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed
of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. [2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.
Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel,
saying, [3] Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left
alone, and they seek my life. [4] But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to
myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. [5] Even so
then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

Statement :
"God has promised that where the shepherds are not true He will take charge of the flock
Himself. God has never made the flock wholly dependent upon human instrumentalities. But the
days of purification of the church are hastening on apace. God will have a people pure and
true. In the mighty sifting soon to take place we shall be better able to measure the
strength of Israel. The signs reveal that the time is near when the Lord will manifest that His fan
is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor." – {5T 79.4}
************************

Matthew 3:11-12 KJV The sifting is the purging of the floor
[11] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier
than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with
fire: [12] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat
into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

What are some of the tools in the purging of the floor or the sifting of Israel the church?

Heresies
God will arouse His people; if other means fail, heresies will come in among them, which will
sift them, separating the chaff from the wheat. The Lord calls upon all who believe His word
to awake out of sleep. Precious light has come, appropriate for this time. It is Bible truth,
showing the perils that are right upon us. This light should lead us to a diligent study of the
Scriptures, and a most critical examination of the positions which we hold. – {CW 40.1}

Temptations
To all the testing time will come. By the sifting of temptation the genuine Christian will be
revealed. Are the people of God now so firmly established upon His word that they would not
yield to the evidence of their senses? Would they, in such a crisis, cling to the Bible and the Bible
only? Satan will, if possible, prevent them from obtaining a preparation to stand in that day.
He will so arrange affairs as to hedge up their way, entangle them with earthly treasures,
cause them to carry a heavy, wearisome burden, that their hearts may be overcharged with
the cares of this life and the day of trial may come upon them as a thief. – {GC 625.3}

Those that are afraid disqualified themselves from being in the remnant
Judges 7:1-3 KJV
[1] Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and
pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of
them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley. [2] And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are
with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt
themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. [3] Now therefore go to,
proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return
and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two
thousand; and there remained ten thousand.

More on the fearful
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Sifting by a serious sense of Duty
Judges 7:4-8 KJV
[4] And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the
water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This
shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall
not go with thee, the same shall not go. [5] So he brought down the people unto the water: and
the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog
lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to
drink. [6] And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three
hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water. [7]
And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and
deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his
place. [8] So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the
rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host
of Midian was beneath him in the valley.

Time and events sorounding the emerging or revealing of the remnant of Israel
Isaiah 10:1,5-6,12-13,15, 20-22 KJV
Verse 1- the time of the Decree- Sunday Law time period.
[1] Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they
have prescribed

Verse 5- Tghe Asserians / Babylonians the instrument of judgment on unfaithful Israel.
[5] O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine
indignation. [6] I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my
wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them
down like the mire of the streets.

[12] Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon
mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria,
and the glory of his high looks. [13] For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it , and
by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have
robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: [15] Shall the axe
boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him
that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff
should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

Then the Remnant is seen after the war after the decree
[20] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped
of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon
the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. [21] The remnant shall return, even the remnant of
Jacob, unto the mighty God. [22] For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a
remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
[24] Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not
afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee,
after the manner of Egypt.

Thus persecution is and instrument a tool that bring about the Remnant.

"Much so-called Christianity passes for genuine, faithful soundness, but it is because those who
profess it have no persecution to endure for the truth’s sake. When the day comes when the
law of God is made void, and the church is sifted by the fiery trials that are to try all that
live upon the earth, a great proportion of those who are supposed to be genuine will give
heed to seducing spirits, and will turn traitors and betray sacred trusts. They will prove our
very worst persecutors. “Of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw
away disciples after them;” and many will give heed to seducing spirits. – {6BC 1065.1}

The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will
be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed
to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than
subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is
between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will
be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from
the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go
out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we
see only floors of rich wheat. – {5T 81.1}

No Guile found in the mouth of the Remnant.
Zephaniah 3:13 KJV
[13] The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful
tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them
afraid.
Revelation 14:1,4-5 KJV
[1] And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and
four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. [4] These are they which
were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God
and to the Lamb. [5] And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before
the throne of God.

The leniency of Eli cost his life and his son's life.

Eli had greatly erred in permitting his sons to minister in holy office. By excusing their course, on one pretext and another, he became blinded to their sins; but at last they reached a pass where he could no longer hide his eyes from the crimes of his sons. The people complained of their violent deeds, and the high priest was grieved and distressed. He dared remain silent no longer. But his sons had been brought up to think of no one but themselves, and now they cared for no one else. They saw the grief of their father, but their hard hearts were not touched. They heard his mild admonitions, but they were not impressed, nor would they change their evil course though warned of the consequences of their sins. Had Eli dealt justly with his wicked sons, they would have been rejected from the priestly office and punished with death. Dreading thus to bring public disgrace and condemnation upon them, he sustained them in the most sacred positions of trust. He still permitted them to mingle their corruption with the holy service of God and to inflict upon the cause of truth an injury which years could not efface. But when the judge of Israel neglected his work, God took the matter in hand. –

“There came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon Mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before Me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? Wherefore kick ye at My sacrifice and at Mine offering, which I have commanded in My habitation; and honorest thy sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel My people? Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before Me forever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from Me; for them that honor Me I will honor, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.... And I will raise Me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in Mine heart and in My mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before Mine anointed forever.” –

God charged Eli with honoring his sons above the Lord. Eli had permitted the offering appointed by God as a blessing to Israel to be made a thing of abhorrence, rather than bring his sons to shame for their impious and abominable practices. Those who follow their own inclination, in blind affection for their children, indulging them in the gratification of their selfish desires, and do not bring to bear the authority of God to rebuke sin and correct evil, make it manifest that they are honoring their wicked children more than they honor God. They are more anxious to shield their reputation than to glorify God; more desirous to please their children than to please the Lord and to keep His service from every appearance of evil. – {PP 578.1}
God held Eli, as a priest and judge of Israel, accountable for the moral and religious standing of his people, and in a special sense for the character of his sons. He should first have attempted to restrain evil by mild measures; but if these did not avail, he should have subdued the wrong by the severest means. He incurred the Lord’s displeasure by not reproving sin and executing justice upon the sinner. He could not be depended upon to keep Israel pure. Those who have too little courage to reprove wrong, or who through indolence or lack of interest make no earnest effort to purify the family or the church of God, are held accountable for the evil that may result from their neglect of duty. We are just as responsible for evils that we might have checked in others by exercise of parental or pastoral authority as if the acts had been our own.

Eli did not manage his household according to God’s rules for family government. He followed his own judgment. The fond father overlooked the faults and sins of his sons in their childhood, flattering himself that after a time they would outgrow their evil tendencies. Many are now making a similar mistake. They think they know a better way of training their children than that which God has given in His word. They foster wrong tendencies in them, urging as an excuse, “They are too young to be punished. Wait till they become older, and can be reasoned with.” Thus wrong habits are left to strengthen until they become second nature. The children grow up without restraint, with traits of character that are a lifelong curse to them and are liable to be reproduced in others.

There is no greater curse upon households than to allow the youth to have their own way. When parents regard every wish of their children and indulge them in what they know is not for their good, the children soon lose all respect for their parents, all regard for the authority of God or man, and are led captive at the will of Satan. The influence of an ill-regulated family is widespread and disastrous to all society. It accumulates in a tide of evil that affects families, communities, and governments.

Because of Eli’s position, his influence was more extended than if he had been an ordinary man. His family life was imitated throughout Israel. The baleful results of his negligent, ease-loving ways were seen in thousands of homes that were molded by his example. If children are indulged in evil practices, while the parents make a profession of religion, the truth of God is brought into reproach. The best test of the Christianity of a home is the type of character begotten by its influence. Actions speak louder than the most positive profession of godliness. If professors of religion, instead of putting forth earnest, persistent, and painstaking effort to bring up a well-ordered household as a witness to the benefits of faith in God, are lax in their government and indulgent to the evil desires of their children, they are doing as did Eli, and are bringing disgrace on the cause of Christ and ruin upon themselves and their households. But great as are the evils of parental unfaithfulness under any circumstances, they are tenfold greater when they exist in the families of those appointed as teachers of the people. When these fail to control their own households, they are, by their wrong example, misleading many. Their guilt is as much greater than that of others as their position is more responsible. –

The promise had been made that the house of Aaron should walk before God forever; but this promise had been made on condition that they should devote themselves to the work of the sanctuary with singleness of heart and honor God in all their ways, not serving self nor following their own perverse inclinations. Eli and his sons had been tested, and the Lord had found them wholly unworthy of the exalted position of priests in His service. And God declared, “Be it far from Me.” He could not accomplish the good that He had meant to do them, because they failed to do their part.

The example of those who minister in holy things should be such as to impress the people with reverence for God and with fear to offend Him. When men, standing “in Christ’s stead” (2 Corinthians 5:20) to speak to the people God’s message of mercy and reconciliation, use their sacred calling as a cloak for selfish or sensual gratification, they make themselves the most effective agents of Satan. Like Hophni and Phinehas, they cause men to “abhor the offering of the Lord.” They may pursue their evil course in secret for a time; but when at last their true character is exposed, the faith of the people receives a shock that often results in destroying their confidence in religion. There is left upon the mind a distrust of all who profess to teach the word of God. The message of the true servant of Christ is doubtfully received. The question constantly arises, “Will not this man prove to be like the one we thought so holy, and found so corrupt?” Thus the word of God loses its power upon the souls of men.

In Eli’s reproof to his sons are words of solemn and fearful import—words that all who minister in sacred things would do well to ponder: “If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him; but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall entreat for him?” Had their crimes injured only their fellow men, the judge might have made reconciliation by appointing a penalty and requiring restitution; and thus the offenders might have been pardoned. Or had they not been guilty of a presumptuous sin, a sin offering might have been presented for them. But their sins were so interwoven with their ministration as priests of the Most High, in offering sacrifice for sin, the work of God was so profaned and dishonored before the people, that no expiation could be accepted for them. Their own father, though himself high priest, dared not make intercession in their behalf; he could not shield them from the wrath of a holy God. Of all sinners, those are most guilty who cast contempt upon the means that Heaven has provided for man’s redemption—who “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:6.

Holy Spirit will be taken first from those who had GREAT LIGHT and OPPORTUNITIES

DESTRUCTIVE JUDGMENTS A TIME FOR THOSE OUTSIDE OF CHRISTIANITY TO TURN TO GOD.THE MERCIFUL GOD GIVES OPPORTUNITY FOR REPENTANCE AND CHANGE OF HEART.

The time of God's destructive judgments is the time of mercy for those who have had no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched; His hand is still stretched out to save, while the door is closed to those who would not enter.-- Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 97.   56.2}
     Soon the battle will be waged fiercely between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. Soon everything that can be shaken will be shaken, that those things that cannot be shaken may remain.--Testimonies, vol. 9, pp. 15, 16.
     In the time of distress and perplexity of nations there will be many who have not given themselves wholly to the corrupting influences of the world and the service of Satan, who will humble themselves before God, and turn to Him with their whole heart and find acceptance and pardon.-- Testimonies, vol. 1, p. 269.   56.4}
     There are many who are reading the Scriptures who cannot understand their true import. All over the world men and women are looking wistfully to heaven. Prayers and tears and inquiries go up from souls longing for light, for grace, for the Holy Spirit. Many are on the verge of the kingdom, waiting only to be gathered in.--The Acts of the Apostles, p. 109.  {Christian Service 57.1}

WHO THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAVE FIRST ?
"A new heart will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you." I believe with all my heart that the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the world, and those who have had great light and opportunities and have not improved them, will be the first to be left. They have grieved away the Spirit of God. The present activity of Satan in working upon hearts, and upon churches and nations should startle every student of prophecy. The end is near. Let our churches arise. Let the converting power of God be experienced in the heart of the individual members, and then we shall see the deep moving of the Spirit of God. Mere forgiveness of sin is not the sole result of the death of Jesus. He made the infinite sacrifice not only that sin might be removed, but that human nature might be restored, rebeautified, reconstructed from its ruins, and made fit for the presence of God. . . .  {3 SELECTED MESSAGES 154.1}

WHY WILL THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAVE FIRST

There will be some terrible falls by those who think they stand firm because they have the truth; but they have it not as it is in Jesus. A moment's carelessness may plunge a soul into irretrievable ruin. One sin leads to the second, and the second prepares the way for a third and so on. We must as faithful messengers of God, plead with Him constantly to be kept by His power. If we swerve a single inch from duty we are in danger of following on in a course of sin that ends in perdition. There is hope for every one of us, but only in one way--by fastening ourselves to Christ, and exerting every energy to attain to the perfection of His character.  {3SM 154.3}
     This goody-goody religion that makes light of sin and that is forever dwelling upon the love of God to the sinner, encourages the sinner to believe that God will save him while he continues in sin and he knows it to be sin. This is the way that many are doing who profess to believe present truth. The truth is kept apart from their life, and that is the reason it has no more power to convict and convert the soul. There must be a straining of every nerve and spirit and muscle to leave the world, its customs, its practices, and its fashions. . .
     If you put away sin and exercise living faith, the riches of heaven's blessings will be yours.--Letter 53, 1887.  {3SM 155.2}

The enmity of the Jews..Persecution will come its starts in the church

CHRIST IN HIS OWN WORDS WRITTEN IN RED says : LukE 12:51  Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52  For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.  53  The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  54  And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.  5  And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.  56  Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Earl Belfast : Persecution will come when God's people stand for that which is right.
All the satanic instruments are awaken when a decision is made to follow  ALL of Gods word that is Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. First the enemies from within are chief instruments on this onslaught. As a people the Whole of Spiritual Israel do attack that which is true and honest to scripture. Satan moves upon the heart of individuals to accomplish His work;each man adding and spinning words of other men without verifying content or source of such information. Satan is left  happy knowing he has accomplish his work via the hands and tongues of those who consider themselves faithful,those who mount the pulpits those whose names are on the church records.They see a widening distance between the messenger of God and themselves and retain a false feeling of safety because they are among the majority and men of the cloth back them.They exclaim the man is pulling himself away, they have walked away from the platform of truth given in evidence pile upon evidence.But this is not simply so.for they go deeper and deeper into error,darkness and strong delusion over take them.At this point their blindness prevents them from identifying truth from error;and they call darkness light and light darkness. Then you know for a surety God's people are in trouble. But God has his 7,000 who will not bow. They will stand firm. Silence one and multitudes will rise.You cannot fight against the Holy Spirit.
The history has already been written ,the actors have already played the parts.What we witness is the repeat of History.

Here is the Story in Acts of the Apostles starting in page 413

"Paul had long looked forward to visiting Rome; he greatly desired to witness for Christ there, but had felt that his purposes were frustrated by the enmity of the Jews. He little thought, even now, that it would be as a prisoner that he would go.   }
     While the Lord encouraged His servant, Paul's enemies were eagerly plotting his destruction. "And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy." Here was a fast such as the Lord through Isaiah had condemned--a fast "for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness." Isaiah 58:4.  {AA 413.3}
     The conspirators "came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul. Now therefore  ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you tomorrow, as though ye would inquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him."  {AA 413.4}
     Instead of rebuking this cruel scheme, the priests and rulers eagerly agreed to it. Paul had spoken the truth when he compared Ananias to a whited sepulcher.  {AA 414.1}
     But God interposed to save the life of His servant. Paul's sister's son, hearing of the "lying in wait" of the assassins, "went and entered into the castle, and told Paul. Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him. So he took him, and brought him to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto him, and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee."  {AA 414.2}
     Claudius Lysias received the youth kindly, and taking him aside, asked, "What is that thou hast to tell me?" The youth replied: "The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul tomorrow into the council, as though they would inquire somewhat of him more perfectly. But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee."  {AA 414.3}
     "The chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast showed these things to me."

     Lysias at once decided to transfer Paul from his jurisdiction to that of Felix the procurator. As a people, the Jews were in a state of excitement and irritation, and tumults were of frequent occurrence. The continued presence of the apostle in Jerusalem might lead to consequences dangerous to the city and even to the commandant himself. He therefore "called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night; and provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor."
     No time was to be lost in sending Paul away. "The soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris." From that place the horsemen went on with the prisoner to Caesarea, while the four hundred soldiers returned to Jerusalem.
     The officer in charge of the detachment delivered his prisoner to Felix, also presenting a letter with which he had been entrusted by the chief captain:       "Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting. This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman. And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council: whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of bonds. And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment
 o his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell."
    After reading the communication, Felix inquired to what province the prisoner belonged, and being informed that he was of Cilicia, said: "I will hear thee . . . when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall."

     The case of Paul was not the first in which a servant of God had found among the heathen an asylum from the malice of the professed people of Jehovah. In their rage against Paul the Jews had added another crime to the dark catalogue which marked the history of that people. They had still further hardened their hearts against the truth and had rendered their doom more certain.

May God have mercy on us.

Many in Our churches will not hear, Would you be one of those ?

Part 1
HISTORY REPEATS,
Ecclesiastes1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
When you lay the reform histories in the Bible line upon line you see a marvellous message see the pic on right to see the repeat of these reform movements in the Bible click pic.

"Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain. It may be falling on hearts all around us, but we shall not discern or receive it.
{Faith I Live By 333.6}

Part 2
Isaiah30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

PART 3
WE HAVE NO NEW MESSAGE!
"We have, as had John, a message to bear of the things which we have seen and heard. God is not giving us a new message. We are to proclaim the message that in 1843 and 1844 brought us out of the other churches. We need the Holy Spirit to kindle in our hearts the zeal and earnestness that were then seen among God's people. I thank the Lord that there are still living a few who can remember those days, and who know whereof they speak.
{RH, January 19, 1905 par. 22}

There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is "present truth" that the flock needs now. I have seen the danger of the messengers running off from the important points of present truth, to dwell upon subjects that are not calculated to unite the flock and sanctify the soul. Satan will here take every possible advantage to injure the cause. {EW 63.1}

PART 4
GOD CALLS HIS WATCHMEN TO GIVE THE TRUMPET A "CERTAIN SOUND"1Corinthians 14:8 (A distinct clear message,Not confusion).CHRIST HIMSELF EMPOWERS THE MESSAGE IN THE MILLERITE HISTORY AND HE WILL DO THE SAME FOR THE FINAL MESSAGE THE 4TH ANGEL IN REV 18:1 . PROPHET HISTORY ALWAYS REPEATS ITSELF. SEE THE TRIPLE ACTION OF PROPHECY WHICH GOD HAS ENCODED IN HIS WORD FOR US HERE AT THE END OF THE WORLD.

"A Seventh-day Adventist Message.--At this time, when we are so near the end, shall we become so like the world in practice that men may look in vain to find God's denominated people? Shall any man sell our peculiar characteristics as God's chosen people for any advantage the world has to give? Shall the favor of those who transgress the law of God be looked upon as of great value? Shall those whom the Lord has named His people suppose that there is any power higher than the great I AM? Shall we endeavor to blot out the distinguishing points of faith that have made us Seventh-day Adventists? {Ev 121.3}
Our only safety is in standing constantly in the light of God's countenance.--Manuscript 84, 1905.

A Cheerful Present-Truth Message.--Now, just now, we are to proclaim present truth, with assurance and with power. Do not strike one dolorous note; do not sing funeral hymns.--Letter 311, 1905. {Ev 122.1}
Convinced by the Weight of Evidence.--God is presenting to the minds of men divinely appointed precious gems of truth, appropriate for our time. God has rescued these truths from the companionship of error, and has placed them in their proper frame-work. When these truths are given their rightful position in God's great plan, when they are presented intelligently and earnestly, and with reverential awe, by the Lord's servants, many will conscientiously believe because of the weight of evidence, without waiting for every supposed difficulty which may suggest itself to their minds, to be removed.--Manuscript 8a, 1888. {Ev 122.2}

BUT WE HAVE A PROBLEM WE HAVE LEADING MEN IN ADVENTISM SAYING WE NEED NOT BLOW THE TRUMPET OR WORSE YET GIVING THE TRUMPET AN UNCERTAIN SOUND. Isaiah 56:10,11,12 and Isaiah 29:10,11,12,13,14,15.Isaiah 28:7,8

PART 5
THE PILLARS OF OUR FAITH ARE THE BELIEFS THAT ARE FUNDAMENTAL AND DISTINCT(Sabbath,State of the Dead,Health Message,Father Son and Holy Spirit,Creation etc.)
THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH ARE THOSE THAT BROUGHT US INTO EXISTENCE IN 1840-44 NAMELY (2300Days Daniel 8:14,The sanctuary,the 2520.The 7 trumpets of Rev 8,the 3woes of Rev 9 & 11(911).This does not mean the foundation is more important than the pillars it means in SDA movement God brought his people out of darkness once again by leading them through prophesy that help them take a deeper look at what makes a protestant a true protestant that is the pillars as mention above. What the reformation of the 16th century fail to do God is completing in a people."Isreal "is being gather one final time to produce The BRIDE Revelation 14:12.But until then a work of reform must continue even in and among His Bride who is not yet in pure white garments but is named Laodecia who is poor reached, blind and naked. Remember Jer 6:16 says "But they said, We will not walk therein" .

Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein .

"I saw individuals approach the platform and examine the foundation. Some with rejoicing immediately stepped upon it. Others commenced to find fault with the foundation. They wished improvements made, and then the platform would be more perfect, and the people much happier. Some stepped off the platform to examine it and declared it to be laid wrong. But I saw that nearly all stood firm upon the platform and exhorted those who had stepped off to cease their complaints; for God was the Master Builder, and they were fighting against Him. They recounted the wonderful work of God, which had led them to the firm platform, and in union raised their eyes to heaven and with a loud voice glorified God. This affected some of those who had complained and left the platform, and they with humble look again stepped upon it."
{Early Writing 258.3}

PART 6
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
"As a people we are to stand firm on the platform of eternal truth that has withstood test and trial. We are to hold to the sure pillars of our faith. The principles of truth that God has revealed to us are our only true foundation. They have made us what we are. The lapse of time had not lessened their value."
Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, p. 51. (1904.) {CW 52.2}

Moving a Block or Stirring a Pin.--I saw a company who stood well guarded and firm, giving no countenance to those who would unsettle the established faith of the body. God looked upon them with approbation. I was shown three steps,--the first, second, and third angels' messages. Said my accompanying angel, "Woe to him who shall move a block or stir a pin of these messages. The true understanding of these. The destiny of souls hangs upon the manner in which they are received." I was again brought down through these messages, and saw how dearly the people of God had purchased their experience. It had been obtained through much suffering and severe conflict. God had led them along step by step, until He had placed them upon a solid, immovable platform.
{Early Writings, pp. 258, 259. (1858.).

PART 7

WE HAVE ONLY ONE GOSPEL THAT IS THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL GIVEN TO US THROUGH THE GLAD TIDINGS ENABLE BY THE HOLY SPIRIT CHRIST HIMSELF OUT LINES THE PROGRESSION OF THESE TIDINGS IN JOHN16:8-11 (SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGEMENT ).GODS PEOPLE NEED TO STAY ON THE FIRM PLATFORM SETUP BY THE PIONEERS IN ADVENTISM. THAT IS THE FOUNDATION THAT IS BUILT ON CHRIST

Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Stop tying your shoe laces on the plain of Dura .Stand straight in God's Church.

Testimonies Vol 1 page 609

"I would say that we are living in a most solemn time. In the last vision given me, I was shown the startling fact that but a small portion of those who now profess the truth will be sanctified by it and be saved. Many will get above the simplicity of the work. They will conform to the world, cherish idols, and become spiritually dead."

Testimonies Vol - page 581 (1882).

"The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church."

Great Controversy page 608

" As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position, and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. When Sabbath-keepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith, these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them."

Testimonies Vol 5 463.2

The work which the church has failed to do in a time of peace and prosperity, she will have to do in a terrible crisis, under most discouraging, forbidding, circumstances. The warnings that worldly conformity has silenced or withheld, must be given under the fiercest opposition from enemies of the faith. And at that time the superficial, conservative class, whose influence has steadily retarded the progress of the work, will renounce the faith, and take their stand with its avowed enemies, toward whom their sympathies have long been tending. These apostates will then manifest the most bitter enmity, doing all in their power to oppress and malign their former brethren, and to excite indignation against them. This day is just before us.

Christ Experience and teachings 191.1

Those who are uniting with the world, are receiving the worldly mold, and preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who are distrustful of self, who are humbling themselves before God and purifying their souls by obeying the truth,--these are receiving the heavenly mold, and preparing for the seal of God in their foreheads. When the decree goes forth, and the stamp is impressed, their character will remain pure and spotless for eternity.
