What is Truth, or specifically what is The Present Truth
Study1: What is truth.

John 18:33-38 refers to a word Rudiment,by definition = First principle of a thing.
What will be discussed is the rudiments, first principles of truth.
**********Principle #1 *Truth finds you & Leads you (See principle #2)
John16:7-15
Verse 13- He (Spirit) hears then speak ,where did he hear the truth from?
Verse14. The Holy Spirit receives from me (Christ)..where did Christ get it from?
Verse15. All things that the Father HATH are mine (Christ).
Thus truth is from God not man, and God orchestrates events that all human beings receive truth KNOWING FULL WELL MOST WILL REJECT IT.
**********Principle#2 Truth is Light = Christ. WHO ARE YOU REJECTING?
John1:1-5 Christ is the WORD, THE WORD is LIGHT ,Christ is THE light
Prov 4:19 Path of Just is as shining light thus path of the truth is as shining light.
This light shun more and more till the perfect day,this is progression.
Acts9: Saul Saw a bright light , what Saul saw was a revelation of Jesus Christ which was TRUTH .

********Principle#3 Consequences of Rejecting light/ TRUTH/HOLY SPIRIT/CHRIST/GOD
John 3:19-22
Verse19 CONDEMNATION is defined as "Sentencing to punishment"= JUDGMENT
Verse19 Men REJECT LIGHT
And this is the CONDEMNATION, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, NEITHER COMETH TO THE LIGHT, lest his deeds should be REPROVED. But he that DOETH TRUTH cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
What does God do when we reject heaven sent light ?
Isa 66:1-4 He God himself remove his protective care and Satan has full reign .
Note verse Isaiah 66:4
I also will choose their delusions,and will bring their fears upon them;because when I called, none did answer;when I spake, they did not hear:but they did evil before mine eyes,
and chose that in which I delighted not.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe
COUNSEL AGAINST REJECTING HEAVEN SENT LIGHT
REJECTION OF HEAVEN SENT LIGHT
"Those who in sincerity and truth believe the words of Christ sent to them through his ambassadors, will understand what is the import of those words; but those who have intrenched themselves in unbelief, will be as were the Jews, blinded to the light. By rejection of evidence, they lost their spiritual eyesight, and could not discern between good and evil, between truth and error, light and darkness." {RH April 18, 1893 Par. 8}
THE EFFECTS OF TRUTH
"By his conscience every honest Jew was convinced that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, but the heart, in its pride and ambition, would not surrender. When the truth is held as the truth only by the conscience, when the heart is not stimulated and made receptive, the mind only is affected. But when the truth is received as truth by the heart, it has passed through the conscience and captivated the soul by its pure principles. It is placed in the heart by the Holy Spirit, who reveals its beauty to the mind, that its transforming power may be seen in the character."– {RH March 29, 1906 Par. 6}

Note the cry is in Mt Ephraim 1St the REMNANT of Israel, then to STRANGERS .
Isa56:1-8 bringing THE STRANGERS to my HOLY MOUNTAIN

Zechariah 8:1-3 Lord shall return to Zion ,the city of truth

STATEMENT : "While I was praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell upon me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them, when a voice said to me, “Look again, and look a little higher.” At this I raised my eyes, and saw a straight and narrow path, cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the city, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the beginning of the path, which an angel told me was the midnight cry. This light shone all along the path and gave light for their feet so that they might not stumble. If they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the city, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and said the city was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising His glorious right arm, and from His arm came a light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, “Alleluia!” Others rashly denied the light behind them and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out, leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and lost sight of the mark and of Jesus, and fell off the path down into the dark and wicked world below. Soon we [see Appendix.] heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus’ coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God, as Moses’ did when he came down from Mount Sinai. "– {EW 14.1}

Psalm 48:1- City of our God, Mountain of His Holiness ,Joy of the whole earth,Mt Zion
Isaiah 51:16 HIGH AND HOLY prominence,distinct, separate,different people.
Jer 25:30 HIGH AND HOLY goes together.Isaiah 2:2 in the top of the mountains , exalted above the hills,all nations flow to it.
STATEMENT : TRUTH AND SIN CANNOT LODGE IN THE HEART AT THE SAME TIME.
The perception and appreciation of truth, He said, depends less upon the mind than upon the heart. Truth must be received into the soul; it claims the homage of the will. If truth could be submitted to the reason alone, pride would be no hindrance in the way of its reception. But it is to be received through the work of grace in the heart; and its reception depends upon the renunciation of every sin that the Spirit of God reveals. Man’s advantages for obtaining a knowledge of the truth, however great these may be, will prove of no benefit to him unless the heart is open to receive the truth, and there is a conscientious surrender of every habit and practice that is opposed to its principles. To those who thus yield themselves to God, having an honest desire to know and to do His will, the truth is revealed as the power of God for their salvation. These will be able to distinguish between him who speaks for God, and him who speaks merely from himself. The Pharisees had not put their will on the side of God’s will. They were not seeking to know the truth, but to find some excuse for evading it; Christ showed that this was why they did not understand His teaching. – {DA 455.3}
